Paris,France

History

Paris began as a small village on an island in the Seine River over 2,000 years ago. It was first settled by a Celtic tribe and later taken over by the Romans, who turned it into a busy city with roads and buildings. During the Middle Ages, Paris grew into an important center for trade, education, and religion. Major landmarks like the famous cathedral were built during this time, showing the city's growing power and influence across Europe.

In the 1600s and 1700s, Paris became known for art, science, and new ideas that helped shape modern thinking. The French Revolution started there in 1789, changing the country forever. In the 1800s, the city was redesigned with wide streets, parks, and beautiful buildings that gave it a new, modern look. Paris went through wars and tough times but always recovered. Today, it remains one of the world's most visited cities, known for its culture, beauty, and strong spirit
